Effective September 1st 2015, the St Elizabeth Parish Council will refuse all residential and commercial building applications without evidence of a rainwater harvesting system.
Island Homes applauds this right move in the right direction and urge all parish councils to follow suit. The Jamaican government and the National Water Commission are unable to provide sufficient treated water to the residents across the island. It is up to us to fend for ourselves or face the consequences of water lock-offs and expense trucked water.
